An antique crescent moon brooch. Featuring a row of white seed pearls on a delicate yellow gold moon shape. The brooch is finished with a closed, polished back.

The Victorians loved using symbolism in their jewellery. The sun, as well as the stars and the moon, has inspired humans for millennia. Sun motifs are thought to represent hope and renewal; stemming from the thought that although the sun sets every day it will rise again.
