An antique gold and turquoise brooch signed Murrle Bennett & Co. Featuring a protruding cabochon turquoise, bezel set in yellow gold. The turquoise is surrounded by scrolled gold work and topped with three seed pearls.
Murrle Bennett & Co were an Anglo-German Arts and Crafts jewellery wholesaler who originally sold their pieces at Liberty London. Notable for their striking designs, it is rare to find pieces in 15ct gold, as they’re usually known for 9ct gold or silver. This brooch is a very striking piece with strong lines.

An Arts & Crafts enamel landscape brooch, signed Murrle Bennett & Co. The centre of the brooch contains a scenic image in polychrome enamel depicting a landscape. The scene is surrounded by hammer finished silver, with scroll detailing on either side. The reverse of brooch also enamelled with roman numeral 'VIII' in the centre.
This brooch is attributed to Charles Fleetwood Varley, a talented Arts & Crafts jeweller and enameler known for his beautifully detailed landscape scenes. Most of his work can be found on objects, such as boxes, and so it is very special to have a wearable scene in a brooch such as this.

A vintage enamel fringe bracelet by Genero, Italy. Featuring a circular, open link chain bracelet with nine circular charms. The charms have an offset cut out in the centre, two charms are 3-D, three have a slight curve, and the four largest charms are decorated with an enamel blue and gold floral grotesque design.
Genero is an Italian jewellery house, founded in Venice. The brand was known for luxurious, finely crafted gold jewellery.

An oval-cabochon cut turquoise is bezel set at the top, which balances a smaller articulated turquoise drop below, lending subtle movement and colour contrast to the piece.
A fine example of early 20th-century Arts and Crafts design from this celebrated Anglo-German partnership, and rarer still for its gold composition.
