 A vintage charm necklace, set with a collection of eight French and French colonial war metals. The chain is a flat link, double belcher chain. The charms, from left to right, include:

A red white and blue enamel Maltese cross under an articulated crown. 'Ret de Sansheo' is written in the middle of the cross. Double sided enamelwork. Tests as silver gilt.

A sunburst design with profile of a gentleman in gold relief. The profile sits in the middle of a blue enamel ring with 'Simon Bolivar' written. Set with twelve old cut diamonds in the sunburst and three graduated old cut diamonds on ring of the charm. Unknown crest in relief on the reverse. Tests 18ct gold.

A green and white enamel medal in the shape of a white five armed cross. With man in profile in the centre, surrounded by blue enamel with 'Republique Francaise 1875' in the centre. Between the arms of the cross are a green enamel laurel wreath. Ten old cut diamonds are set at the tip of each of the star points. The star hangs from a green enamel wreath and jump ring set with five graduated old cut diamonds. The reverse is set with blue enamel, with 'Honneur et Patrie' written with two crossed flags in a circle. Tests silver gilt.

A medal for the Order of St James. Featuring a ruby set dagger in milgraine setting with cabochon cut ruby edges set on the handle. The dagger is surrounded by a green enamel wreath with writing underneath in white enamel. The dagger hangs with articulation from a green enamel wreath and single old cut diamond. Tests 18ct.

A medal for the 'Imperial Order of the Dragon of Annam', a Vietnamese regiment. Featuring a star with an oval, blue enamel centre with Vietnamese characters in the middle. The oval is surrounded by a red enamel border. The eight-pointed star is set with old cut diamonds in each point. Hangs from a diamond set crown and two green enamel dragons, with three graduated old cut diamonds in the ring. Tests 18ct.

A ten-pointed star, alternating green and red enamel, representing an Algerian regiment. An Arabic symbol sits in the middle of star, with two old cut diamonds each arm of star. The star hangs from a diamond shamrock, and five old cut diamonds are set in the hoop. Tests silver.

A six pointed star, set with old cut diamonds. In the centre there is a man in profile, wearing a wreath and surrounded by 'Repiblique Francaise' in blue enamel. The star is surrounded by a diamond set wreath. The pendant hangs from a hoop set with three old cut diamonds. Plain reverse. Tests silver gilt.

A Maltese cross with 'Repiblique Francaise' and a man in profile in the centre. The medal is finished with two crossed swords between the cross. Reverse with dates '1914 1915'. Tests base metal.
