Mid-Century Malachite Necklace

A modernist malachite and diamond collar. Featuring a rectangular pendant fashioned from a yellow gold border, and a rectangular cut malachite. The malachite is offset within the pendant, and is set with a round brilliant cut diamond in the centre. The diamond is attached to a white gold bar, running across half the malachite. The pendant hangs from a fixed, white gold bail. The collar is fashioned from a polished yellow gold wire, with a hook fastening. The piece is signed, but as of yet we have not identified the makers mark.

This outstanding necklace exudes 1960s character. The piece is modernistic and bold, mixing metals and bold green colours. A glorious mid century treasure.
