Lizard Agate Brooch

A gem set lizard brooch. Featuring a gold lizard, with ruby eyes, and emerald and diamond scales. The lizard is decorated with milgraine detailing and a textured tail and feet. The lizard is lying on a geode agate slice, with attractive grey and purple banding. The brooch is connected to a gold border, with gold claws holding the brooch in place.

Geodes are a type of quartz, or agate, formation. The geode itself was created when the crystal structure was cooling in the Earths crust, forming very small crystals interlocking with one another. The effect in this brooch is mesmerising, the geode catches the light and sparkles from all angles, creating the effect of a lizard sitting on a pool of water. A one of a kind, vintage brooch.
