Vintage Gold & Diamond Disc Earrings

A pair of diamond set disc earrings. Featuring yellow gold discs, one side polished and the other made up of three levels of brushed yellow gold. In the centre of the two panels is a diamond set triangular panel. Set with eight round brilliant cut diamonds of varying sizes, all claw set in white gold. The earrings are French in origin, from the 1960s.

An attractive pair of earrings, these discs sit beautifully on the ear. The diamonds catch the light, while the textured and polish gold play off one another to create intrigue. The earrings themselves date to the 1960s, and are reminiscent of Space Race jewellery we see from this age. Space Race jewellery was inspired by the new technology of the age, mostly found from this era. A one of a kind, vintage pair of earrings.
