Textured Ruby & Diamond Cross, G. Appleby

A vintage gold cross. Made up of textured, swirling yellow gold, and topped with a diamond set crown. In the centre of the cross sits a single, round cut ruby, four claw set in yellow gold. The pendant hangs from an integrated, hidden bail and is presented on a leather cord. Engraved ‘G Appleby 1/50 1994’.

This cross is one in a series of fifty by the renown American jeweller Gregory Appleby. Appleby takes his influence from all over the world, and views his jewellery as wearable art. This stunning cross is no exception, with an impressive size and weight. The texture of the cross is beautifully complimented by the deep hue of the ruby.
